"It shall be the purpose of this organization to: a.) provide professional development opportunities to its members, b.) advise students in seeking educational opportunities, c.) introduce and maintain relationships with educators on the local, state, and national level, d.) value the student body and community involvement and innovation in the field of music education, e.) encourage exploration of multiple routes in which one can provide education to another as a career, and f.) encourage participation in the Rutgers University National Association for Music Educators Collegiate Chapter."
